KazMunayGas has reported on construction of the new gas processing plant in Zhanaozen (Mangystau region). Sea delivery of process modules began on 16 August 2026. Three vessels with equipment are currently en route to Kazakhstan, and another is preparing to leave a port in China. Further shipments will follow in stages according to the project schedule.
The plant is being built using a modular approach: the main process modules are manufactured in factory conditions and delivered to site for installation. Of 240 long-lead equipment items, 133 are complete and 107 are in progress; overall manufacturing progress has reached 60.8%. Installation of spherical tanks for NGL (500 m³) and LPG (2,000 m³) has started on site, and 15.7 thousand m³ of the 63 thousand m³ of concrete work had been poured by early October. The new plant will process 900 million m³ of natural and associated gas per year.
Modular projects of this type require coordinated logistics along the entire route: sea delivery, port transshipment, road transport of oversized modules to site, and alignment of deliveries with the installation schedule.
