What counts as OOG in Kazakhstan?
OOG is a load or combination outside the length, width, height or axle limits for the road section. A standard 40-foot container on an ordinary trailer usually stays within those limits. Working market cues: width over 2.55 m, height over 4 m from the road, excess combination length or axle load. The exact threshold is the rule on that section and the vehicle type. The plan starts from the actual cargo and the route.
Which permits and route approval are required?
OOG needs national special permits in each transit country and, as a rule, a route approval: overpasses, bridges, ferry, access into site. For Kazakhstan that is a heavy and oversized haul permit; further along the corridor each of China, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia, Iran and Turkey has its own regime. Each country issues its own permit. Issue time often outlasts the highway kilometres.
Lowbed or curtainsider road train?
A lowbed is for OOG and heavy cargo: 45 t, 5 axles and 90 t, 10 axles in the fleet. A curtainsider road train is a truck and full trailer with two grey curtains, about 145 m³, for volume cargo. The combination is matched to the cargo.
What do you need for a quote?
A quote starts from the parameters. Send length, width, height, mass, origin and destination, known axle limits and timing. From that we match the combination, permits and a ferry if the route uses one. The request form collects the same fields. How does an OOG haul run?
A request with dimensions, mass and points. Then a plan: equipment, lashing, route. Special permits and approvals in the transit countries. Loading to that plan. The haul with in-transit control, a ferry and an escort if they are required. Delivery on site. This is road OOG on Eurasian corridors.
When is an escort required?
We add an escort when the dimensions or the country’s rule require one. The call comes after the route plan: width, length, section, ferry.
