KTZ Express × Maersk: export containerization roundtable in Almaty

On 30 September 2026 in Almaty, Kazakhstan Railways held a roundtable titled “Kazakhstan’s export potential: containerization as a path to global markets,” supported by the Presidential Administration.

Participants included government bodies, Kazakh exporters and A.P. Moller – Maersk. KTZ Express acting CEO Aibek Kapar and Maersk Eastern Mediterranean managing director Ayhan Sedef presented joint logistics solutions for moving Kazakh products to China and Europe.

Talks covered the sea fleet, container flatcar fleet, terminal projects in Kazakhstan and abroad, TITR sea legs via the Black Sea, and wider use of Maersk’s global network — with a direct dialogue between the state, the logistics operator and exporters.
