On 22 September 2026 Trend.az reported that KedenTransService, a Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ) subsidiary, plans to move 163,000 tonnes of steel pipes from China in September–October 2026 as a multimodal rail-and-road project — imports into Kazakhstan and transit to Turkmenistan, with strict loading and securing procedures and close rail–road coordination. A typical project-cargo pattern on the China–Central Asia corridor.
