At the TransLogistica Kazakhstan 2026 business programme, Ruslan Sharipov, head of the Middle Corridor project at TransExpeditions, described digital tools on the Caspian leg. RZD-Partner reported this on 19 October 2026.

Kazakhstan is rolling out the CarGoRuqsat and SmartCargo information systems, and the company already uses them day to day. Data exchange is in place for cargo crossing the Khorgos–Nur Zholy border point, and cargo continuing via Kuryk or Aktau can get an automatically reserved slot for the Caspian crossing. The mechanism currently runs in test mode, while information systems along the whole route are being integrated.

Capacity is growing in parallel: according to Sharipov, construction of new vessels for the Caspian has started at shipyards in China and Baku. The main flow on the corridor runs east to west, from China to Europe.

For Gateway Logistics project cargo this means end-to-end planning of the Khorgos–Kuryk/Aktau–Alat chain: lowbeds and road trains to the port, ferry booking and transloading on one schedule.
