Altynkol: 10.8 million tonnes in eight months of 2026

Transport Corridors citing rail-news.kz (25 September 2026) reported that Altynkol Station handled 10.8 million tonnes in January–August 2026 (+3% year on year): 5.2 Mt Kazakhstan→China and 5.65 Mt China→Kazakhstan (+6%). Narrow-gauge receipts 4,744 trains; broad-gauge handovers 2,241. Container traffic included 1,075 trains to Central Asia (128,018 TEU) and 554 via TITR (64,511 TEU). For wagon, container and flatcar forwarding via Khorgos/Altynkol this marks denser border coordination demand.
