A logistics operation is under way to deliver five oversized pieces of equipment with a combined weight of 1,600 t to the construction site of the Silleno polyethylene plant (1.25 million t a year) in the Atyrau region. KazMunayGas's press service reported this after a site visit by chairman Askhat Khassenov; ATI.SU published the report on 16 October 2026.

The loads include a cold box weighing about 700 t and 12.6 m wide, designed for deep cooling of pyrolysis gas and for heat and cold recovery from process streams. It is the widest load moved on the project. Special multi-axle transporters are used to spread the load across the road surface.

At the pyrolysis unit, the first large piece of equipment is already in its design position: a 101.8 m ethylene fractionation column made at the AtyrauNefteMash plant in Kazakhstan. Overall project progress exceeds 40%, with more than 5,000 people and over 500 pieces of heavy equipment mobilised on site.

For Gateway Logistics this is a reference point for petrochemical equipment in western Kazakhstan: route surveys, heavy and oversized transport permits, 45 t / 5-axle and 90 t / 10-axle lowbeds for supporting units, and handoffs to the Caspian ports.
