MSC/MEDLOG × SEMURG: containers via Kuryk and the Sarzha cluster

On 23 September 2026 Kazakhstan’s SEMURG INVEST and MEDLOG (MSC Group) announced a strategic partnership based at Kuryk port, developing Sarzha Logistics for container flows across Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. The Sarzha Caspian cluster targets up to 5 Mt/year of additional handling capacity, including up to 110,000 TEU. For OOG/project cargo this means tighter berth and ferry competition at the same Caspian hub where Ro-Ro already runs — book Caspian windows early.
