KTZ continues building the 323 km Moyynty – Kyzylzhar line — the next stretch from the Chinese border toward the Caspian after Dostyk – Moyynty. As of Kursiv’s 7 October 2026 report, 317 km of main track has been laid; bridges and traffic systems are still under construction. Completion is planned for December 2026.

The new line will let trains bypass the congested Moyynty – Zharyk section and shorten hauls by 149 km. That speeds delivery and expands options for exporters in the Karaganda and Ulytau regions, while adding capacity on the Trans-Caspian route toward the ports of Aktau and Kuryk.

For project and multimodal cargo, a shorter path to the Caspian means fewer nodes and a more predictable train–ferry handoff. When planning container and equipment moves on the Middle Corridor, factor the line’s commissioning into end-2026 schedules.
