9 September 2026 — Trend / ABC.AZ quoted Rashad Majidov, COO of ADY Express, at a CICA ports conference in Baku: in January–August 2026 the Middle Corridor moved 53,574 TEU, up about 11% year on year.
East–west: 42,642 TEU; west–east: 10,932 TEU. Closing that imbalance is named as an ADY priority.
Majidov: from the customer’s view the corridor and the sea complement each other; from the operator’s view they compete.
For OOG the skew hits equipment backhaul and slots. Oversized and project cargo rarely move equally both ways — plan the trailer/curtainsider road train return and the ferry queue separately from the headline TEU figure.
