On 26 October 2026, Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ) handed over a record 155 trains at external border junctions, Rail-news.kz reported on 27 October, citing the company's press service. About 7,600 wagons were dispatched in one day.
By direction: 72 trains to the Russian Federation, 50 to Central Asian countries and 33 to the People's Republic of China.
KTZ attributes the result to closer operational coordination with neighbouring railway administrations and train-flow management as part of its work to raise network capacity, strengthen Kazakhstan's transit potential and support exports.
Gateway Logistics forwards cargo in wagons and containers and provides container flatcars: Khorgos to Almaty, Astana and all regions of Kazakhstan, and Khorgos/Altynkol and Dostyk–Alashankou to Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Iran and Turkmenistan.
