FESCO Transportation Group and Kazakhstan's transport and logistics company IFC COLOS intend to develop cooperation in rail container transport in Central Asia. The document was signed by Maxim Bukhanov, General Director of FESCO Central Asia, and Arailym Artykbayeva, Commercial Director of IFC COLOS, at TransLogistica Kazakhstan in Astana. FESCO announced this on 15 October 2026 and UzDaily.uz on 21 October.

The key element of the agreement is the mutual provision of container flatcar fleets for uninterrupted container services via the Dostyk and Altynkol border crossings. For FESCO it means more efficient use of rolling stock in import and transit traffic across Central Asia and more departures on FESCO Caravan Shuttle, which links China with Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

IFC COLOS operates its own rolling stock — gondola cars, container flatcars, 60 ft and 80 ft platforms — and a terminal in the Khorgos – Eastern Gate SEZ. According to FESCO, the group's container flatcar fleet numbers almost 15,000 units and its container fleet 200,000 TEU.

For Gateway Logistics rail clients this supports stable flatcar supply on the Khorgos/Altynkol and Dostyk–Alashankou routes to Almaty, Astana, the regions of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
