CJ ICM Logistics (headquartered in Dubai) has completed delivery of the final major components for the 1,600 MW combined-cycle power plant in Uzbekistan's Surkhandarya region. Heavy Lift & Project Forwarding International reported this on 19 October 2026.

According to the company, 415-tonne gas turbines and 380-tonne generators arrived at a Kazakh port on three river vessels and then travelled more than 2,000 km by road. From Khorgos, 48 heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) modules and 305-tonne transformers covered about 2,500 km. Part of the supporting cargo of European origin moved through Türkiye and Georgia.

CJ ICM coordinated the sea-river movements, transshipment, route improvements and permits, bringing its own heavy transport equipment and site teams into the operation. The work was supported by the company's offices in Türkiye, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and several European countries, as well as a control tower in China.

For Gateway Logistics this is a clear example of the China – Khorgos – Kazakhstan – Uzbekistan corridor for power equipment: route surveys, permits in every country, 45 t / 5-axle and 90 t / 10-axle lowbeds for modules and units, and 145 m³ road-trains for supporting cargo.
