13 of 42 weigh-in-motion ASI units offline for ERAР: calibration and certification

Transport vice-minister Maxat Kaliakparov, answering an MP query, described the status of automated weighing/measurement stations (ASI) on Kazakhstan’s roads. Zakon.kz reported this on 3 November 2026.
Of 42 operating complexes, data transfer to the Unified Register of Administrative Proceedings (ERAP) is suspended on 13 until measurement instruments complete calibration and certification. Equipment without valid certificates may not be used to open administrative cases. On asset-holder requests the ministry renewed 6 certificates.
Of the complexes feeding the transport database, 29 still deliver data to ERAP’s processing centre. Fault clearance, timely calibration/certification and continuous ASI operation are handled systemically via letters to local executives and NC KazAvtoZhol JSC.
For oversized and heavy-haul moves this is a cue to lock route, special permit and axle loads early: part of automated enforcement temporarily cannot file fines until calibration finishes. Gateway Logistics runs 45 t / 5-axle and 90 t / 10-axle lowbeds plus 145 m³ road-trains on China — Kazakhstan — Caspian — Caucasus — Türkiye corridors.
