Aktau–Atyrau: 730 t oversized move on Sarens modular trailers

On the Aktau–Atyrau highway a large logistics operation is underway: oversized equipment totaling 730 tonnes is being moved by heavy Sarens tractors on multi-axle modular platforms. AtyrauTODAY reported this on 9 October 2026.

The multi-axle modules spread the load across the pavement. Such a move needs careful route coordination, limited speed and special convoy handling. Drivers on the section are advised to expect temporary restrictions, keep distance and overtake the convoy with caution.

For Gateway Logistics this is a practical case of ultra-heavy OOG on Kazakhstan’s western axis: 45 t / 5-axle and 90 t / 10-axle lowbeds, modular schemes, route surveys and permits toward Aktau, Kuryk and the Caspian.
