Kuryk: tariff preferences for Uzbek fertilizers and oil products

In early August 2026 Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan agreed tariff preferences for fertilizers and oil products via Port Kuryk (Spot.uz, 8 Aug; O’zbekiston 24 / ATI). UTY’s 2026 discount table lists about 60% off for fertilizers (HS 3102–3105) on the Oasis–Kuryk-Port private-wagon leg. After 2024 dredging, ferry handling fell from 20 to 12 hours and ferries can take ~500 t more. Uzbek cargo via Aktau/Kuryk rose over 60% in 2025. For OOG: cheaper bulk/liquid flows tighten Ro-Ro queues — keep Caspian buffer days.
