Corridor throughput is not a slot for OOG

In 2026 the Middle Corridor is counted in millions of tonnes and TEU. Kuryk and Aktau are raising throughput, new ferries are entering the Caspian, paper annual capacity is rising. For a container string that is throughput. For a transformer on ten axles it is not.

OOG hits a different geometry: national special permits in each transit country, overpass survey, bridge rating, ferry ramp, turning into site. There is no single “corridor-wide permit”. Issue time often outlasts the highway kilometres.

The Caspian pinch is still a vessel slot and the port–road join, not the kilometres of road. A higher nameplate port capacity does not guarantee a place for a combination wider than 2.55 m or heavier than the section’s axle rule. The scheme starts from size and mass, not from a press release about a tonnage record.
