Anaklia: dredging underway under a landlord port model

Georgia’s Deputy Economy Minister (Imedi, 2 Sep 2026) said Anaklia is in an active phase: two dredgers are working and breakwater construction is underway, ops targeted for 2029. Caucasus Business Journal (4 Sep 2026) reports a landlord model and phase-one spend near $1.1bn, with 16–17 m depth for Panamax-class ships.
